Making available modern machinery
It was in the year 1949, that a group of Indian Industrialists and businessmen came together with their German counterparts and promoted a marketing organisation that could make available modern machinery and technology to industry in India.
The fact that there was a need for such an organisation was evident from the immediate success of Protos. The company has been associated over the years with a number of projects in a variety of industries, eg. steel, power, sugar, cement, fertilise, oil, plastic, petrochemicals, automobile, pharmaceuticals etc. Taking their service further, the company also acts as an indenting agent for the supply of different grades and quality of ferrous, non- ferrous and exotic metals.
Entering the area of Manufacturing
During the course of the past few years, Protos has embarked on manufacturing activities as well. Along with their principals, the company set up Delimon Protos India Private Ltd, to manufacture High Pressure Centralised Lubrication Systems to meet the growing demand and solve the problem of excessive wear and tear and Sortimat Protos Automation Private Limited, for the manufacture of Automatic Assembly Machines to improve efficiency and bring down cost of assembly.
Having once established contact with the client - Protos gets into the picture from the beginning. After studying the clients project, Protos helps identify the machinery that will be required, including the detailed specification of the requirements. Then after a detailed discussion with their worldwide principals, consultants and technicians, Protos finalises both the specifications as well as the agreement.
Protos takes their service further by installing the requisite machinery, arranging training for the clients with their principals, and even goes on to help in the maintenance of the machinery.
Having once entered a relationship with a client, Protos keeps in touch constantly upgrading technology, making them aware of newest machines, and providing training whenever required. |
