Nearly Forty years ago, Anil Hardboards Ltd. was founded in a sleepy satellite village called Kanjur on the outskirts of bustling Mumbai. It was a pioneering organisation, the first to manufacture fibreboards in India. Inaugurated in 1958, by the late Prime Minister of India, Lal Bahadur Shastri, this plant, the brainchild of our Founder Mr G.R. Jolly, still has the distinction of being the most modern and fully automated plant in Asia.
In 1985, to identify with our widely popular, product brand names, the company changed its name from Anil Hardboards Ltd. to Jolly Board Ltd.
Infrastructure and Production
Jollyboard manufactures hardboard and softboard at three manufacturing sites based in Western India at Mumbai, Aurangabad and Sangli. The company has three mills for the production of hardboard and four lines for the manufacture of Softboard and mineral wool board. Once the fourth softboard plant at Sangli (now under construction) is in full production our seven lines will have a total installed capacity of 49,000 tonnes for hardboard and 1,72,000 cubic metres of softboard per annum!.
The company is committted to customer satisfaction and product development. The boards manufactured by Jollyboard are comparable to the best in the world. An extensive dealer network is the company's forte, and is in no small measure responsible for our expanding sales.
