Guardwel Industries Pvt Ltd established as a registered firm in 1986 and started manufacturing activities in Feb'1987.
Objectives
To develop world class security products for the safety of important records in the form of paper documents, computer media, microfilm etc, against fire and for safety of money, jewellery against theft and burglary.
Main Promoter
Mr. Anthony L. Tuscano is the main promoter of Gaurdwel Industries. He has worked for over 26 years in various departments of M/s. Steelage Industries Ltd, Mumbai. Mr. Tuscano, after his training at CHUBB - UK, has been credited with designing, developing and successfully introducing many new products in the country including TRTL range of safes for M/s. Steelage.
Mr. Tuscano has been representing M/s. Steelage Industries Ltd on ISI committees for formulation of standards for safes and fire resisting cabinets.
Major Achievements
Guardwel Industries started production of fire resisting filing cabinets in middle of 1987. In 1987 the FRFC was sent for testing at the central building research institute, Roorkee, the only accredited institute in our country to carry out such test.
The cabinet passed both the tests successfully, viz., fire endurance and fire and impact. The test result in case of fire endurance test were one of the best amongst all the cabinets tested.
With strong emphasis on research and development, Guardwel have been able to successfully design, develop and introduce many new products like fire protection cabinet, fire resisting micro data cabinets, computer data cabinet, full range of cash safes etc.
The Guardwel Micro Data cabinet is the first indigenously developed cabinet which has passed the fire endurance and fire and impact test as per international and national standards.
Infrastructure
In 1995, Guardwel Industries changed its constitution to private limited company and moved into its own spacious factory premises. The factory has most modern machinery to give high quality products. The strict quality control ensures that the product gives trouble free service.
Research and Development
Main objective of R & D at Guardwel is to develop new insulating materials which has more fire resisting capacity and is lighter from the existing known materials. This in turn helps in developing new cabinets which are lighter and has more fire resistance.
