Diabonic Honing Ledges and Tools Pvt Ltd is a company run by a Board of Directors. The company also employs the services of experienced senior retired executives for various consultancy purposes.
The company was started in the year 1993 by an entrepreneur who had fifteen years of experience in the diamond tool industry with invaluable experience in the development and application of diamond and cbn honing tools, especially in the automobile industry. The entrepreneur also has obtained specialised training in TOYODA, Japan in the manufacture of high precision PCD & PCBN Cutting Tools.
The company was started as a service company for MICO BOSCH. The expertise and locally available technology matched, and in many cases superceded the imported honing tools. This encouraged us to go further up, and after extensive trials and tests, Diabonic Honing Tools were accepted to be on par with any other honing tool manufactured worldwide. These tests were over a period of two years.
The Present share that DIABONIC now enjoys is about 25% of MICO'S honing tool requirements. This success encouraged us to reach out to various other companies that have similar requirement. We were successful in converting some companies from abrasive honing stones to total super abrasive honing stones to total super abrasive honing tool users, that helped them gain in all areas.
The need for stringent Quality Control and the requirement for Quality Assurance inspired us to go in for an ISO certification. After eight months of effort we were awarded the ISO 9002 certificate by M/s. Det Norske Veritas of the Netherlands on 30 march 1998. The first annual audit has been successfully completed. New types of bonds and materials are tested on our honing machines to help us in providing a database for the easy selection of honing tools for any material to be honed.
